Film Mode Entertainment is a leading worldwide sales agent, production entity
graduating from California State University, Northridge. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in
Fine Arts, majoring in Film Production and minoring in Italian Language. He landed his first
job in Distribution with Kushner-Locke and worked his way from Production Assistant to
Worldwide Sales Coordinator. In 2001, he was hired as Sales Director at Overseas
Filmgroup. While there, he helped transition the sales division from Overseas Filmgroup to
First Look Studios. He was promoted to Director of Operations and then Sales Executive
where he oversaw the sales of 300 titles. In 2006, Clay joined the newly created sales and
production company, The Little Film Company as VP Sales & Acquisitions. He helped grow
the company into a leading boutique sales agency representing such prestigious titles as
Tsotsi (2006, Academy Award Winner for Best Foreign Language), The Last Station (2010,
Academy Award Nominee for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role) and Eye of
The Storm (2012, AACTA Winner for Best Lead Actress) In 2012, Clay joined Arclight Films,
as Senior Vice President Sales & Acquisitions responsible for all aspects of Marketing and
Distribution. While there, he represented such feature films as Paul Schrader ’s DOG EAT
DOG starring Nicolas Cage, PAPER PLANES starring Sam Worthington, PREDESTINATION
starring Ethan Hawke and LAST KNIGHTS starring Clive Owen and Morgan Freeman. Clay
launched Film Mode Entertainment in 2016, a fully independent world wide sales agent
and production entity. Clay has been an instructor at the New York Film Academy, and is a frequent
guest speaker at film festivals and Film Schools. He currently sits on the Executive
Committee of the Independent Film and Television Alliance (IFTA) Board of Directors and is a member or BAFTA LA and the Australian Academy Cinema Television Arts (AACTA). He lives in Los Angeles, California with his wife and son.

Lon Haber additionally teaches Filmmaking, Film Sales and Marketing, The Business of Being an Artist as well as On-Camera acting classes at various schools and universities worldwide. Haber is a graduate of Phillips Academy Andover, holds a BFA in Theatre Arts and a BA in International Affairs from Florida State University (FSU) and an MFA in Cinema and Media Studies and MA in Diplomacy from The University of Southern California (USC).
JOHN BUFFALO is a film and television executive, focused on the development, acquisition and global distribution of independent feature films.
Buffalo moved to the U.S. in 2015 to work in international sales for Cinema Management Group, a global independent distribution company distributing highly successful feature films such as the animation hits ZAMBEZIA and KHUMBA, as well as the critically acclaimed LOVING VINCENT with Saoirse Ronan and Douglas Booth. Buffalo also acquired a number of films for international distribution for CMG, preparing global sales estimates and negotiating sales agency terms with producers.
Before joining CMG, Buffalo was President of Acquisitions and Sales with Italian distributor Moviemax, and later was named its Managing Director in Milan. During more than three years at Moviemax, Buffalo acquired and distributed a full slate of high-profile films, including David Ayer’s FURY starring Brad Pitt. Prior to Moviemax, Buffalo was head of acquisitions for Rome based Italian International Film (Lucisano Media Group), where he acquired numerous films for distribution including Nicolas Winding Refn’s DRIVE and ONLY GOD FORGIVES, both starring Ryan Gosling. He also acquired Venice Lion winner REDACTED by Brian de Palma.
Prior to Buffalo’s work in Italy, he began his career in the media business with global media powerhouse Discovery Communications in Silver Spring, MD serving in a variety of roles, in support of their launch of a bouquet of channels around the world. Buffalo also served as an officer in the U.S. Navy, stationed in Japan, Italy and at the Pentagon in Washington, DC.
After graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Business and Marketing from the Ecole Superieure de Commerce in Bordeaux, France, Mathilde moved to Los Angeles, CA. Soon after, she was hired by Hannibal Pictures as a Sales and Marketing Executive in 2003. In 2004, she was promoted to Director of International Sales & Marketing, where she oversaw the sales of theatrical pictures to all major territories.
In 2006, Mathilde joined Lightning Entertainment, as Director of International Sales. She was responsible for the international sales of of all new titles in addition to a 200+ title library. In 2008, she was promoted to Vice President of International Sales, where she took on more managerial duties, including the supervision of Business Affairs and Marketing in addition to her sales responsibilities In April 2016, she was promoted to Head of Sales, and her responsibilities expanded to overseeing the entire sales department.
In early 2017, Mathilde joined Film Mode Entertainment as COO where she runs day to day operations, business affairs and business development in addition to international sales.
Mathilde was listed in the Screen Daily 50 Future Leaders in Sales and Acquisition. She is a Board Member of the Independent Film and Television Alliance and lives in Los Angeles, California with her husband and son.
